Election for the Delegate of Egypt to the Council of the Swiss Abroad (CSA) – 2017-2021
The Council of the Swiss Abroad (CSA) is the representative body in Switzerland for Swiss people living abroad known as “the Parliament of the 5th Switzerland”. Egypt has the right to elect one representative on the CSA. If you have an interest in the Swiss community in Egypt and in the Swiss political process, and you are fluent in either German or French, you might be the right person for this rewarding and important voluntary role serving your community!
Do you have what it takes to represent Egypt in Switzerland?
Are you a Swiss citizen over 18 years of age residing in Egypt?
Are you fluent in either German or French?
Do you entertain contacts within the Swiss community and are willing to travel twice a year to
Switzerland to attend OSA Council meetings (on your own expense)?

How to apply as a candidate?
Please fill out the application form found at the bottom of the page. All application forms must be submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
no later than 20th April 2017. All eligible candidates that have registered to stand for election will have their photo and profile summary published online on the Swiss Club Cairo’s website between the 1st and 30th May 2017.
How to exercise your right to vote?
You have to be a Swiss residing in Egypt
You have to be registered in Switzerland as having the right to vote
Election day – 31 May 2017!

The Election will take place from 7:00pm to 8:00pm at the Swiss Club in Cairo after the annual General Assembly has concluded. The voting slips will be available on the day of the election. All voters will need to represent themselves in person along with their copy of the passport. Food and drinks will be served after the election is complete.
